The beach of Praia D'El Rey is 3kms long with beautiful high cliffs and a wide sandy beach. The stretch of coastline offers a variety of different waves ideal for surfers, on certain days you can have magnificent walks along the crashing seafront, providing amazing views. Access to the sand is best from the northern most point of the resort where you can park in the car park and walk to the beach or alternatively you can walk onto the beach near the Marriott hotel. The beach in front of the hotel is patrolled and watched by life guards during the summer.

The beach at Foz has all of the qualities of the typical silver coast beach, soft white sand, rolling waves and beach bars; however Foz also has the benefit of the lagoon. There is safe bathing in the lagoon and crashing waves on the other side of the beach where surfing is quite popular. There are showers and toilets as well as cafes, stalls, and a huge, sandy beach perfect for children.  There are showers and toilets on the beach. During the summer months canoes can be hired and there is often water-ski instruction.

The waves of Areia Branca Beach are among the best for learning surfing or bodyboarding. The Beach always has plenty going along at the numerous bars and restaurants strung out along the promenade that accompanies the full length of this long Beach.   A popular holiday destination with locals hence plenty of good sea-food restaurants nearby.  There are surf schools  that provide equiment and tuition for all levels.  These beaches are also use for Rip Curl Surfing Championships.

Two superb beaches either side of a causeway to the village of Baleal and is vast. It is rare that it is not possible to swim here but do be guided by the life-guards and the flags. The water here seems exceptionally clear and the beach shelves gently into the sea so normally safe for little ones or non-swimmers. There are cafes, showers and toilets on the beach. A popular resort with many nationalities and a favoured location for surf followers.

Considered both nationally and internationally to be up among the very best for surfing and bodyboarding, Medão Beach gained its reputation for its perfectly shaped tubular waves, thus becoming known as "Super-tubos" (Super-tubes). The crests of these waves are so extensive that they create actual tubes, a phenomenon sufficient to bring in surfers from all over the world and throughout the year.

Ericeira is famous for its beautiful beaches, located where the high cliffs of the rocky coast meet the Atlantic Ocean. Surfing is the dominant sport and sunbathing is the most popular activity of tourists who come from all over the world. However, Ericeira offers a lot more besides surfing to those interested in sport. Body-boarding, skim-boarding, windsurfing, fishing, diving, sailing, jet-skiing, water-skiing and beach-volley are some of the activities enjoyed at the beaches of the village.

Santa Cruz covers an extended stretch of sand that is divided up into various beaches named after the respective cafes with the Beaches of Navio, Mirante, Pisão, Física, Centro, Santa Helena, Formosa and Azul. The purity of both the waters and sands here comes in addition to the surrounding picturesque landscapes and ensure that Santa Cruz is a highly popular tourist resort. To the far south, the Ponta da Vigia cliffs form a series of rocky outcrops among which the Penedo do Guincho boulder, standing 30 metres high and around 100 metres in circumference, is particularly impressive as it leads down to a vaulted area through which the sea pours. Marking these rocky surfaces are an odd set of terraces from which, on clear days, it is possible to take in sweeping panoramic views that extend as far as the Cabo Carvoeiro lighthouse and the Berlengas islands.
